Owned and managed by Danilo Barbosa, Sucuri Farm is part of the D’Barbosa Group and stands as a model of structured, large-scale coffee production aligned with environmental responsibility. Of its extensive property, 500 hectares are dedicated to coffee production, while more than 700 hectares are preserved, reinforcing a long-term commitment to land stewardship. But the story begins long before the scale.

Danilo’s parents, Jairo Barbosa de Paula and his wife, started with modest beginnings, working as gas station attendants before saving enough to invest in agriculture. Their transition into farming was not inherited — it was earned. In 1980, Danilo and his father planted their first coffee trees by hand. That moment marked the beginning of a journey defined by discipline, expansion and vision. Over the decades, what began as a small family effort evolved into a consolidated agricultural operation. Today, the Barbosa family oversees more than 2,000 hectares, reflecting steady growth built on reinvestment and operational structure. Sucuri Farm operates within the Cerrado Mineiro — Brazil’s first Denomination of Origin for coffee — a region known for defined seasons, flat plateaus suited for precision agriculture and climatic stability that supports consistent quality. The scale of the operation does not dilute its focus. On the contrary, it reinforces it.
